STIL is an opera based on the book 'Keefman' of Jan Arends and partly based on the life of Jan Arends. He was a poet and writer who's life was mainly controlled by his madness. Always wandering around and searching for recognition. The libretto, written by Cefas van Rossem, describes a man searching for a room to neglect himself. This causes problems with his landlady. David Prins made a wonderful stage-direction.
Stil has been premiered March 15-17 2013 at OCW in Rotterdam by Meindert Velthuis (poet) & Cora Schmeiser (landlady).
